Fox's Tale
Hello,
This is the first game i have ever made. I followed along James Doyle's 2D Platformer course on Udemy. All assets in the game belong to ansimuz -who has their own itchio page so don't forget to check it out if you're interested. That said, allow me explain how to play.
HOW TO PLAY:
Basics:
- Controls are WASD and/or movement keys.
- Space bar is used for jump and double jump.
Other Functions:
- You can kill enemies by jumping on top of them. If they get to touch you, your health gets lower.
- Some levels contains crates which you can move around. You can use them to avoid traps and collect gems. They might even help you to kill some enemies. Give it a try :P
- Currently there are 4 types of enemies. Jumping frog, flying eagle, opposum and a tank boss. Each enemy hit lowers the hp equally except the boss, which lowers more hp by firing bullets frequently.
- There are two different types of traps. Spikes and the smashers. Spikes lowers the hp but getting smashed by the smasher kills the player immediately!
- There are several checkpoints in each level. Whenever you die you'll respawn around the closest checkpoint you unlocked.
- Pressing the escape key during game is on opens the pause menu. You can go to level select menu from there or go back to main menu.
These covers every mechanic in the game. Thank you for checking out my game. Don't forget to share your thoughts with me! I always appreciate a good feedback. If you want me to try your game and share my thoughts you can also reach out to me :))
Important Notice: This game currently doesn't support mobile controls. If this situation changes i'll add it to the devlog.
